Its simple....keep it that way and tune in to nature outside and within...…. However if you don't find that at all easy then here are a few pointers to guide you through this month and into the next until we reach spring.

February is the shortest month of the year and yet so much change is happening around us and inside our bodies. We all felt humbled by January as we wintered, curled up safely in a pause like state of mind. Then all of a sudden time speeds up into a new month leaving us confused by what's happening outside.
Its definitely livelier in the mornings and evenings as the Robin and Blackbird sing their songs at full volume and the sun sets way after 5 pm. Yet its still bitter cold with icy winds visiting from the NE sending us back into our homes wishing we could revisit January and use wintering as an excuse to stay in the warm or skip forward and March into spring!

Finding the balance between each season is a difficult one if we forget that time is always bringing subtle changes as does the growing light.
As the daylight hours regain their strength so do we and it effects us all differently as we are uniquely individual in our physical makeup.
Are you a snow drop type that feels Imbolc as an awakening or are you more of a bluebell energy that needs more sunlight before you come out of the cold earth to salute the sun?

To know ourselves fully is to gracefully flow through seasonal change with our eyes, ears and hearts wide open with both feet firmly planted on the ground.
Finding the balance in winter will bring a healthy spring, help boost your immune system throughout the year and generally bring positive experiences, so worth persevering I am sure you will agree. So what can we do to tune in to our seasonal bodies?

By understanding external February Challenges, recognizing seasonal changes, acknowledging cold weather and that the lack of sunshine can affect our mood and motivation.
Seasonal Affected Disorder is at its worse in February as we run low on stored sunshine from Autumn making mental wellbeing a priority. Setting aside “me time” is essential.

Here are a few ideas on how you can stay balanced through the month of February and make it part of your daily routine forevermore.

A clean or harmonious lifestyle brings balance to your hormones through conscious living and balanced diet. Before they come to the Lensomy school of joy many students have what they believe are healthy habits. Yet, the modern approaches they choose often miss the connection between body, mind and spirit.
